So everyone knows that the heart of a home is the kitchen. Kitchens used to be hidden...where the cooking was done, the dirty dishes would pile up...somewhat of an eye-sore...you'd never let dinner guests enter your "work space." But these days, kitchens are celebrated! We're seeing more and more kitchens joined with either the dining room or family/living room...because cooking has become something that the whole family and even guests can become involved in...I love this...We've seen formal, stuffy dinner parties dissipate and family-style, comfortable, inviting ones take their place. So now the kitchen has become the rock-star of the home. This is going to be a problem for me one day when BS and I decide to buy/build a house. How do you settle on one final design for the nucleus of the home??? I mean you could go traditional, modern, rustic, elegant, functional, simple, colorful, french country...the options are literally endless! Here are a "few" of my favorites...When the day does come to design a kitchen, I am certain it's going to be quite the process.
