Starting 2014 Off on the Right Foot

It's that time of year again...after the holidays we try to put the train back on the track and start the year off healthy and shed those extra lbs (courtesy of all the comfort food, alcohol and extra baby weight we're trying to get rid of!) I have to say, this year I was pretty good and didn't indulge too much...I'll take a glass of vino over a piece of chocolate cake any day of the week (some things are just worth it!)...probably for the fact that my sister CAC is getting married in 2 weeks and my goal was to be back at my pre-pregnancy weight by then...5lbs to go and counting! I can thank baby Jack for helping me trying reach my goal as I find there is never anytime to eat when caring for a newborn!

Here are a few things that will help me drop the last few lbs:

Tracy Anderson was on Bethenny (yes I love her talk show...don't judge) the other day demonstrating workout routines to tone everything up and to lose inches! She has famously helped Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna transform their bodies. You can see some of her videos here.

Along with the occasional workout, I'll be eating healthy. Nothing crazy folks (I had tacos last night...but instead of 4, I had 2...) I have found that if you really give your body a chance to register that your are full, you eat less. So after my second taco, I wait about 10min to see if I reeeeeally need that 3rd taco...chances are my body will recognize that I've had enough and I won't over eat. Also, I vow to eat a little less pasta and load up on the protein & veggies. Basically DON'T OVER EAT.
