Moonfish

Hey Everyone! So the other day I was at the fish counter at Whole Foods and I noticed a fish that I had never seen before. It's called "Opa" or Moonfish. I asked the fish monger what it tastes like and he said a cross between swordfish and tuna. So I thought I'd give it a try! Because this fish is steak-like, I decided to cook it like a steak. I have to say, this fish was super yummy but most fish markets don't carry Opa on a regular basis. Below is what I did:
Salt, Pepper & Olive Oil

Sear fish on each side for 3 minutes


1 large shallot, 1 lemon & 1 cup of white wine

Remove fish and add 1 tablespoon of butter, shallots, lemon & wine and scrape off brown bits
(about 5 minutes)


Put fish in baking dish and pour liquid around the fish

Add dill & lemon slices on top of fish

Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes depending on thickness and serve with rice & asparagus
